Theres a fine line between humour and wackiness, and Ben Folds walks it. The vast majority of the time he’s on the right side and there were moments during this gig at a rammed Academy when he was very funny indeed, both in song and during his banter with the crowd. But he can stray on to the wrong side of the comedy tracks – producing William Shatner albums, working with the abhorrent Weird Al Yankovitz – and that’s a shame as it detracts from the fact that he has written some...
