Camra raises its glass to stout
The Bristol Beer Factory has won a major honour from real ale champions Camra. The local firm, situated in one of the remaining buildings of the old Ashton Gate Brewery, won first prize in the stout section of Camra's National Winter Ales Festival in Manchester for its Milk Stout.
Named the Champion beer at the Bristol Beer Festival in 2006 and 2007, it is the same dark stout that the Ashton Gate Brewery produced in the same location more than 70 years ago.
