Synopsis

Guy Ritchie’s big-budget comeback after a series of flops is only a partial success. Robert Downey Jnr and Jude Law make a fine pairing as Holmes and Watson, but the plot is bloated and supporting roles are underwritten. We could be seeing more of this incarnation though as the ending hints at a sequel.
