They’re not big, and the film’s certainly not clever, but there is something oddly entertaining about singing chipmunks. In the same way that Babe’s helium-voiced mouse chorus was a delight, Alvin, Simon and Theodore’s high-pitched renditions of Bad Day by Daniel Powter and Funkytown by Lipps Inc in the first film had a certain cutesy charm. For the sequel, the diminutive trio meet their match in three feisty females, who trill with attitude through Beyonce’s Single Ladies...
